Tiny House, Big Impact
Green Meadow Senior Builds Tiny House for Senior Project

Though it's small, its purpose is mighty.
Matthew Olson's "tiny house" is about 15 feet tall and 80 square feet in total. The kitchen and bathroom are about 9 square feet each, while the living room — the most spacious room in the house — is 18 square feet. A loft-style bedroom, accessible by a ladder, has just enough room for a mattress.
Although the size of the house might make some balk — after all, the average home in the United States is around 2,520 square feet — Olson believes two people "could comfortably live" in his tiny house.
"I would say a tiny house is definitely not for everyone, but for most people trying to save money and help the planet, I think it's a great thing," Olson said.
